Singapore is filled with cutting edge architecture. One of the most iconic pieces within its landscape is the Marina Bay Sands, 3 towers that are connected with one of the world's largest infinity pools. The Marina Bay Sands is filled with high end shoppes, celebrity restaurants, casinos, and entertainment However, the highlight for us the Garden's by the Bay and the Wonderful water show right outside the shoppes that happens every night.
The Gardens by the Bay are a magical experience. I could not fully capture this beauty on camera but I still tried and photos are below. This green space in the middle of the city comes alive in the evening with lights and sounds. It is very impressive to see during the day since it is surrounded by flower domes, gardens, ponds. But I highly suggest finding a time to see them after dark as well. The "supertrees" as they are called were stunning to see during the light show. One of the supertrees has a rooftop bar with the a view. while the drinks are not the best, the view is worth the price.
The Marina Bay Sands also has a water show right outside the shoppes, known as "wonder full" show. This is not your typical water show. There were halograms projected on the fountains - very cool to see. It runs every night too. Check out the photos below that highlight this musical light and water show.
It was pretty warm and humid in Singapore so I packed lightweight and comfortable clothing. Like these belted trousers, they were perfect for the weather and they come in a variety of colors. I also packed plenty of rayon tee's and tanks. For shoes, I wore flip flops most days but also packed my converse for days packed with walking around the city. My sneakers came in handy as we explored the many shopping areas. Pictures below from Orchard road which was a long street packed with shopping, they had everything from high end shopping to regional brands like Japnese department store Takashimaya.
We grabbed some drinks on Sky57, which is a rooftop bar on the Marina Bay Towers. It had stunning view of the city. I highly suggest watching the sunset there. Pictures below before and after the sun set. You could see an aerial view of the Gardens as well.
We briefly visited Sentosa, an island that is filled with tons of activities and has a more resort feel. We did the "cable car" ride in Sentosa that went over the water and the skyline luge. Both really fun to experience.
