Palm Springs Weekend Getaway

Palm Springs Weekend Getaway

B planned a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday in Palm Springs this past weekend. It was fabulous to have him plan something :) jk, sorta. I often plan our trips, mainly because I am an OCD planner and try to project plan our life. So its nice to take a break and it's the reason why every birthday I request a trip in lieu of a gift.

We stayed at The Palm Springs hotel, such a cute boutique hotel with the most adorable decor. Each suite is themed and ours was the Retro Racquel suite. Our first night we had dinner at Workshop Kitchen & Bar, which also had adorable rustic interior and locally sourced food. I had the best grilled octopus, safe to say it was the best I have ever had actually.

The next day, we had lunch at the Purple Palms restaurant. I had oysters with a Watermelon Mignonette, who ever thought of pairing oysters and watermelons is a genius. It was so refreshing and exactly what you should be having for lunch when its 111 degrees outside. It was nice to layout in the pool for the rest of the day -it was the perfect weekend birthday weekend.

I wore this gorgeous open back shift dress that had very light beading on the top and bottom hem of the dress. I loved this little gem I found at BCBGMaxazria awhile ago and could not find it anywhere online.  I am sharing multiple white summer dress options that are similar in style including this one although not open back and this one if you are looking for something more open in the back. This pleated dress is also a favorite and comes in another bright color as well! Get full details on my look and more dress options below!

I tried a Date Shake, but I think I don't like milkshakes so I was not impressed. But cute little donut comes with it.
