Going to the Farmer's market on a Sunday morning is one of my favorite activities. We are so lucky to have the farmer's market all year round. I love walking around, tasting all the fresh fruit, healthier treats, and fresh flowers. They have a few gluten free bakeries and dried fruit/nuts vendors that I love. This week I also picked up some fuchsia Gerbers. Adding fresh flowers in the house always change the entire space. It definitely not only adds color but adds positive energy to a room.
B and I had an early breakfast in Palo Alto at Pastis, a cute little french restaurant, this past Sunday. It had such an adorable vibe and their food was delicious! I convinced B we should share a benedict, we chose a salmon benedict, and a french toast, we chose le frasier (stuffed with strawberries). I typically do not do french toast but I heard such great things so I had to try it. Let me just take a quick time out to discuss the french toast because one cannot simply mention this particular french toast in passing. IT WAS TO DIE FOR! there was no syrup obviously (because only americans do that). It was sweet but not too sweet like you were eating dessert and so, so fresh. It was stuffed with fresh strawberry jam and strawberries and had a little powder sugar on the top. It was just the right amount of dough without being excessively dough-y. HOLY SMOKES- I loved eating this
For my breakfast date and farmer's market trip, I wore my ankle black zipper jeans from Express, camel lapel notch blazer from Forever 21 and cognac ankle booties from Charlotte Russe.
